let as self-catering accommodation since 2004, and was soon awarded a
VisitBritain 4-star rating. In the words of Britain's
national tourist agency, this

The
self-catering holiday cottage
has
roof-mounted solar
panels for hot water, and gas
central heating.
It also has marvellous views of the northern fells across the village
roof-tops.
The
cottage sleeps
6 people,
and has:

with colour TV (BBC/ITV Freesat), DVD player/ recorder, portable CD
player/radio - and
great views

a
dining
room
with mahogany dining table and french window access to the yard at the
side of the building, which is secure for dogs

a
kitchen
with electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator/freezer,
dishwasher, coffee maker and a clothes washing machine
-
two
twin
bedrooms,
one with large bunk beds
-
a
large
bathroom
with bath, separate shower, handbasin, and W.C.
-
a
separate
shower
room,
with power shower and wash basin
-
a
separate
W.C.
with handbasin
-
a
large walk-in
drying
cupboard
with powerful electric radiator.
A
cot
and high chair
are available.

To the
side of
the cottage is a
yard facing east and south, with chairs and a garden table; the whole
yard area is secure for dogs. There is off-road
parking
space
for one car at the side of the building, with plenty more available
within 100 yards.








Braithwaite
is
a "dog-friendly"
village - as long as you clean up after you!
Dogs
are most welcome at the cottage, and they usually have a marvellous
time, both in the village and on the surrounding fells.
The
cottage is
a no-smoking
area.
